Although somewhat predictable, it was a fantastic SEA Games for the Philippines in the 9 ball pool categories.
Dennis Orcollo scooped Gold in the singles division after beating Maung Maung of Myanmar in the final. For Orcollo it was more personal success at these Games, after claiming the same colour medal in 2013 for 10 ball.
Maung did however impressively stop current World Number 1 Carlo Biado in the last four, to spoil the idea of an all Filipino final.
Biado, alongside Warren Kiamco, did secure a top honour when the pair won the doubles competition.
