Youth Snooker - 2016 Oceania Under 21's Snooker Championship

25th-28th February 2016 / Mounties, Mount Pritchard, Australia

CHAND PUTS IT RIGHT

Louis Chand made amends for his runners-up finish last year by claiming the 2016 Oceania Under 21's Snooker Championship.

16 players representing host nation Australia, Fiji and Chand's home nation New Zealand competed over four days for continental youth glory.

Chand qualified from his round robin group in top spot - winning all three matches and dropping just two frames on the way. Because of this he was seeded through to the Quarter-Final knockouts.

There he eliminated fellow Kiwi Mikey Stewart 4-2, and then Australian pairing of Cale Barrett 5-3 and Ben Foster 6-4 in the semis and final respectively.
