Women's Snooker - 2015 Eden Masters

5th-6th December 2015 / Cambridge Snooker Centre, Cambridge, England

                   EVANS THE MASTER

Reanne Evans made an empathic return to the winners circle with victory at the 2015 Eden Masters.

Evans had lost her WLBS World Title in April, and also missed out during

September's UK Championship, but the 30 year old made no mistake here in a strong statement of intent for the rest of the season.

In fact, the 10 times World Champion went the entire tournament without dropping a single frame -  a remarkable achievement!

After topping Group A with a trio of 3-0 wins, she defeated Irina Gorbataya 3-0, Jenny Poulter 3-0, Mario Catalano 4-0 and Laura Evans 5-0 in the knockout stages.

Finalist Laura Evans had great earlier results against reigning WLBS World Champion Ng On Yee, and current IBSF World Under 18's Champion Yana Shut.

There were 24 entries for the main event with representatives from England, Ireland, Wales, Brazil, Germany, Hong Kong, Russia, South Korea and Latvia.

Reanne Evans had the highest break with a 103, for which received an extra £30.

In the plate event, Tatjana Vasilijeva dramatically beat Jodie Allen 3-2 on a re-spotted black, and very similiarly, Jeong Min Park ousted Stephanie Daughtery in the Under 21's by the same scoreline - on the last black.

Jenny Poulter picked up the top honour in the Seniors when beating Sharon Kaur in the final.
